It depends on the lens and the imaging capability of the camera. Most cameras that we install can see up to 50ft. There are cameras that can see further away, but usually you cannot see close and far at the same time. Just like when you take a picture with a camera. If you zoom in you lose what is close by. If you want to see close and far you should have two cameras.
